FALLE NIOKE & SIR WAS RAIN

Following his brilliant collaborative EP with Ghost Culture last year, TMR favourite Falle Nioke has returned with news of a fresh partnership. This time teaming up with sir Was (aka Joel Wästberg), 'Rain' is the first droplet to fall from the pair's forthcoming EP MARASI. Lead by Nioke's gorgeous Guinean vocals, that permeate the eclectic instrumentation, Wästberg's smooth production adds a liquidity quality to the nourishing track. Shedding light on the lyrics, Nioke explained: "In Africa even if you are very poor you can go to the village chief and ask him for a bit of land to farm so you can feed yourself or even start a business. But the rain is so important. In Africa there are still places that, without the rain, people and animals will starve. People pray to the higher power for the rain as it’s so important for survival. This song is about that life." MARASI will arrive on the 30th of April via the ever-reliable PRAH Recordings.
